I just wanted to let everyone know that I have noticed that this seems to be the down-point of the RPing year, the time when most people are losing their muse (I wasn't spared, but I'm recovering steadily!) and some are going away on vacation. That means that we have to work harder than ever to keep this site active! Advertise everywhere, spread the word, RP and post as much as you can. And I know this may sound hypocritical of me considering my recent struggle with the terrible disease of muse-loss, but as I said, I'm on my way to being my usual obsessed-with-this-site self! Which is good for you and bad for my essays. Not that I've had any recently.	A College RPG So here you are, at the renowned Wescott International College, standing in the huge Wescott yard looking up at the ancient library with its intimidating stone archway. The iron gates close behind you, shutting out the lively city surrounding the huge campus, and you feel an icy chill. Are you scared? You should be. You are standing in one of the best colleges in Europe and certainly the best in England - exclusive, elite and of course filthy rich. If you have made it into this college you are either the child of wealthy parents or you are the smartest of the smartest. People come here from all over the world, and well should they. If you have been here before, welcome back. And if this is your first time...learn fast. Out of...ten, I guess? We could offer suggestions and everyone's graphics would get better and we'd all be happy! Yay! I hope none of you get offended by low ratings - not that I think anyone would get low ratings, but just in case. I know it's kind of weird that I'm making this thread, since I rarely make graphics and when I do they suck. ^^; But in the spirit of graphicism, here's one thing I made out of utter boredom: click here. I hope you guys can offer me some tips on making these things because I just started using GIMP 2 and know close to nothing. Sooo...post away! PS. Because I <33 you. It's not completely out of pity though; I also wanted to participate because it was a cool idea. Soo. Let's start with your graphic! Well, I think I would give it a...7.5/10? My reasoning: as much as I lurve the rainbowy stuff and am pondering how you did that, I think it's a bit too busy, ya know? Maybe you could have toned it down just a little bit...? And then the heart. Hm...I like the idea and I like almost everything about how it was executed except for the placing; the fact that it's not in the middle bothers me. I know that if it was in the middle the "broken line" would have obscured part of her face, but here's what you could have done instead of drawing that line on: you could have cut the heart in half using other means (selected the section you want the broken line to be and then deleted it) and pasted the two halves a little apart from each other, in the middle. That way the middle of her face would be normal as opposed to darker, get it? The last thing is the text: it's not visible enough for my tastes and it seems sort of out of place. You have to move your face close to the graphic to see what it says. The font is OK, I think, but you might want to play around with it a bit more, and instead of having the text all bunched up in one corner you could have it spread out a bit more and in an area where it would be visible. What lowered your score the most was the heart, I have to say. Overall though, it's a very impressive debut and I can see a rising graphic maker in you! <33 Just keep practicing, practicing, practicing and don't hesitate to experiment or look things up. It took me forever to get here, and I'm still not very good. Not to discourage you. ;] Kaythen, what do I want rated? Hm...this. It's my current favorite of my work, actually.
