Ten things you didn't know about... {name}.
This is a game-- a my favourite games all are-- of character exploration! To discover and uncover and take a look into your characters to come up with ten things that the general public would not have known about them beforehand! Alright, you can do more than ten if you really want, or less; I just felt that ten was a nice, round number. So anyway! Let's have a go! I will, of course, be beginning with my most favourite of all of my characters (sorry to Vivvy, Dee and Slater but, come on, this is Pikky)...
1// Little dogs annoy him and big dogs freak him out. There's no real backstory to this, it's just always been that way.
2// He's never been invited to a party, which isn't much of a surprise, though he has gatecrashed a few.
3// Oh, and he's never had a laughing fit, ever.
4// Pikky was practically the only male of the family, growing up. His father was away on a ship for two weeks every fortnight (so he spent an equal amount of time at home and at work).
5// Has recurring nightmares... you may have known that. Not value for money, eh?
6// Is an absolute sucker for crying girlies. If a girl is crying, he feels the absolute need to go and comfort them (however awkwardly). If one of his insults were to ever make a girl cry, he would dissolve into a puddle of guilty goo. He would also never see a girl being hit or let a girl walk home alone after dark, though you probably know that. Sexist? Ha, mildly, but it's the only real goodness in him, right?
7// Though he really dislikes physical contact with anyone that he doesn't know well enough, once he's out of his shell, he's actually a fairly huggy sort of person.
8// Has stores of tinned food, weaponry, lanterns, oil, bottled water, etc all over the place, secretly. In case of a zombie apocalypse, a nuclear war, or something of the sort. It's best to be prepared, right?
9// Really wants to take someone vampire hunting so that they could have a *magic* time together (but Kal doesn't really count, seeing as she asked him, not vice versa... and he's a little scared of her, hee).
10// Secretly enjoys being heartbroken, once the initial pain has worn off ("WOE IS MEEEE"). Um. Don't know why.

She's never stayed for a whole party, of course, mostly do to the traumatic memory of being yanked away from her victim and danced roughly with by someone too drunk to actually look at her.

It was when she was 10, a little after she began to realize she was superior to everyone (cough) and she hadn't yet formulated the theory that crushes were for those idiots below her. It was someone categorized as 'nerd' by everyone else: a short boy who wore glasses and had the dreamiest brown eyes. He won the poetry contest with a poem that absolutely broke her heart: it was about hopeless love, something she normally would have leered at but that so complimented what she was feeling that she wanted to hug him till he died. Later she found out the poem was dedicated to one 'Polly Marks'. That was about the time she stopped liking Jason.

-->Olivia has a thing for people with glasses, maybe because of her own or because of Jason from long ago....If she sees someone with glasses -- and not sunglasses or anything, but those thick-lensed, 'nerdy' ones -- she automatically looks at them a moment longer than anyone else. Even stranger, she tends to not interview people with glasses; the old prejudiced of only nerds wearing glasses and those with glasses being smarter might have influenced her there. Unconsciously, she probably thinks they're smarter than everyone else. However, if they are obviously not smarter, interviews won't be spared. Lesson to be learned: go out there, buy some glasses and try to look really smart!

YAYGASM! Thanks for posting. (: Hee, I think that this thread has the potential to become veeery interesting, if we wish it... now, onto Vivvy... I'm doing five, too, might add some more later.

This thread has been neglected...so here I am to revive it! I'm writing about Kal, obviously...
1. Has some kind of weird problem with the word "אפרםק" (peach) - she always forgets how to say it in English. Her English is fluent and she can say much longer words without the faintest hint of an accent, but for some reason "peach" always slips her mind.
2. Really doesn't like cats, especially black ones. No, it's not a superstitious thing - she just doesn't like them. Dogs are fine, though.
3. Is secretly a very romantic person, although she would never tell anyone. She believes in soul-mates, everyone having a perfect match and love at first sight; she daydreams of trails of roses, candle-lit dinners and proposals one knee. Basically the whole shebang. Kal actually spends time imagining her first kiss with the perfect guy, although she would die if anyone found out - she wants people to see only a practical girl who needs no one to "make her whole."
4. Doesn't like very sweet chocolate - only 80% and up. This is why she sinks a little inside whenever a date offers her a slab of milk chocolate.
5. Her favorite color is green. Yupyup. And she despises people whose favorite color is blue - it's so...the norm? Um.

It's always sad when threads like this die, so I will aid you by re-reviving it...
Alice...
1--She was actually really sporty in high school; she played varsity field hockey and varsity soccer at Choate.
2--Even though she's very girly now, she used to be a bit of a tomboy.
3--Having two brothers made her surprisingly tough. She's very close to both of them and they're both very protective of her.
4--She is absolutely terrified of spiders.
5--She speaks with a weird accent, somewhere between British and American, having spent half her life in each country. She isn't even sure of its source, but she likes it because she thinks it makes her appear more exotic. She does use American mannerisms and expressions in her speech, however.
